When I spoke with my sister this morning, who is on the east coast of the U.S., the time difference separating us by a mere 13 hours, she asked if the world had ended or if I, calling from beyond the dreaded doomsday strike-of-the-clock, could assure her that the planet, in its current incarnation, would still exist when she woke up half a day later. Well, I said, the world – on this side of night time – looks pretty much intact; I hope the same turns out for you when you wake up…
It was all tongue in cheek of course, so we had some fun with the much-hyped (and oh-so-misunderstood notion) about the world coming to an end.
But when we are blessed with spectacular sunrises like this…
And awed by mouth-watering sunsets such as these…
It doesn’t look like our world intends to bow out anytime soon.
More likely that it is seeking to usher into the occasional bleakness, the promise of light.
For today, tomorrow and many many more days to come.
Beautifully said.
Thnx Sherry… see you soon!
LOVING the new look of your blog – very stylish! I was on a flight from LA to London when the world was supposed to come to an end……….I’m delighted that it hasn’t as I’m now back in London in the bosom of my family for Christmas and that makes me very happy 🙂
Oh my! Doomsday Flight.. 😉 Hope you have a truly wonderful, heartful and downright FUN time with your brood. See you on the other side of New Year’s! x0
